Description Customer Reviews

Slender, extra-long, gradually tapered roots have exceptionally fine flavor, and hold the record for the world's longest carrot, growing up to three feet in sandy loam soils. Dark orange, close to red at times. Sow 3-4 seeds per inch directly into soil in rows 6-12" apart. Does best in light sandy soils with aged compost. Can also be sown in June for a fall harvest. Harvesting tips. Carrots require thinning to 2" apart as soon as their true leaves emerge. Harvest as needed upon maturity.
