The easiest of the Echinaceas to grow, the purple coneflower has rose-purple, daisy-like flowers and burnt orange centers. Blooms from July to September and makes a long-lasting cut flower. As a medicinal, it is said to stimulate growth of blood cells and enhance the immune system. 2-3 ft. plant with 3 in. flowers. Perennial.
